What to Do With the Kids on Winter Break
Oh no!!! The kids are out of school for two weeks! If you want to get them outdoors and away from the holiday bustle and materialism, take them to visit two great kid oriented gardens/farms here in Orange County.
The Farm & Food Lab (Orange County Great Park)
This demonstration garden at the Orange County Great Park has themed garden beds, hands on garden exhibits, chickens, hopscotch (remember this!), a worm bin, and garden photo cut outs for memorializing your visit with a cute picture of the kids. Developed and maintained in cooperation with University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners, grown ups can get their gardening questions answered here too!
Centennial Farm (Orange County Fairgrounds)
If you want to see lots of animals in addition to a garden, then Centennial Farm is the place for you! Dairy cows, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens and more are waiting for the kids to visit and even pet some of them. If you go in the morning, you might even catch the farmer milking the cows! And there’s the garden where kids (and grown ups!) can see how bananas, broccoli, and blue jeans (cotton!) are grown. So get those kids (and you!) outside and re-connect with nature and good food!

Nice article, It was practical.
